　　What does beauty really mean？ Everybody has his own definition。

　　Some students think that a good face is a letter of recommendation。 Good appearance often makes a big difference in social communication， competition， finding jobs and so on。 Not only can it help you become more confident， but also it helps you be impressed。 Physical beauty is likely to draw much attention。 Others， however， hold the idea that good appearance will buy no beef。 Inner beauty is more important。A beautiful person is not the one with good looks， but the one with a broad and kind heart。 In my opinion， the standard of beauty changes with societies， cultures and nations。 Some hold the point that good appearance is of great importance， which is visible to all。 Others have the idea that inner beauty is the loveliest one， which lasts long。 However different they might be， their opinions are all acceptable。

　　Praise of knowledge has never come to an end since ancient times。 Apparently， knowledge is a treasure that everybody volunteers to possess and much of success could be attributed to it directly or indirectly。

　　As far as I am concerned， the beauty of knowledge can be explained in three aspects。

　　Firstly， knowledge is open to all human beings。 People can learn whatever they wish in one way or another。 Secondly， knowledge learnt can be reflected in one's later life， so that one knows how to savor the present moment in peaceful times and how to deal with problems in difficult times。 Last but not least， one of the most prominent features of knowledge is that one carries it throughout his life。 Even if one loses a large fortune， he will never be a beggar if he already knows how to make money。

　　To sum up， knowledge is of great importance in one's lifetime。 It is advisable that one should learn the beauty of knowledge and enjoy the process of learning。

　　This morning I went to the market to buy some vegetables with my parents。 On the way we all highly praised a young man in western—style clothes and leather shoes who was riding by。 But he rode so fast that he knocked an old lady down carelessly。Instead of stopping， he pretended not to see this and rode away quickly。 We were all very angry with the young man。 To our happiness， a girl in plain dress ran forward at once， helped the lady up and took her home。 We all praised the girl。 From this we know we cannot judge a person by his appearance。 A person who is dressed beautifully may not have a beautiful soul。 Only a person who has a beautiful soul is really beautiful。
