為了拓展我的知識面，爸爸答應我暑假去神農架一趟。8月中旬的一天，我們一家三口高高興興地踏上了神農架之旅。

我們先乘火車到宜昌，再在宜昌乘大約五六個小時的車，便來到神農架的入口——鴨子口。這里的海拔已經是一千八百多米了，與宜昌市區的炎熱相反，我感覺到了一絲絲的寒意，汽車玻璃也冰涼冰涼的。

汽車在盤山公路上又行駛四十多分鐘，就是神農架的最高峰——神農頂。從山上往山腳下望去，植被的垂直變化十分明顯。山腳是闊葉林，山腰是針葉林，再往高處，草樹交錯。越往上，樹就越來越少，到海拔兩千六百多米的地方，就基本上沒樹了，只剩下了各種各樣的`草和大熊貓愛吃的箭竹，可惜箭竹都枯死了。到山頂便只有草了，也就是我們常說的高山草甸。

神農架最有名的一個景點就是風景埡。這里云霧繚繞，再加上青翠的山巒，似乎仙境一般。聽說如果到了秋天，天氣好而且沒有云霧的話，景色會更加美麗。從這里可以俯視到山腰上紅、黃、綠的樹葉，他們相互交錯，如一幅色彩斑斕的油畫；還能遠眺各種奇峰怪石，它們在叢林的襯托下顯得格外的幽靜、蒼莽。

離開風景埡，沿著盤山公路繼續往前走，便來到了板壁巖。在這里，我看到了薔薇、冷杉、黃楊木、紅樺等過去我聽都沒有聽說的植物，其中有不少還是珍稀植物。有長了一千年還只有一個成人高的小葉黃楊，過去用來做直升飛機螺旋槳的紅樺，屬于國家一級保護植物的珙桐……跟隨著導游走了一會兒，我們看到一個洞穴。據說這里可能曾有野人出沒過。洞穴旁古木參天，樹上附著厚厚的一層苔蘚。我深深地吸了一口氣，好新鮮呀！
