一般霧都是跟純牛奶一樣，是乳白色的，而霾是灰色的，還有點兒嗆鼻。我對霧，霾并不了解，所以我今天特意上網查了一下。哦，原來是這樣啊，霧是有大量懸浮在近地面空氣中的微小水滴或冰晶組成的氣溶膠系統，是近地面層空氣中水汽凝結的產物。霧的存在會降低空氣透明度，使能見度惡化，如果目標物的水平能見度降低到1000米以內，就將懸浮在近地面空氣中水汽凝結物的天氣現像稱為霧。
霾也稱灰霾，空氣中的灰塵，硫酸，硝酸，有機碳氫化合物等粒子使大氣混濁，視野模糊并導致能見度惡化。隨著空氣質量的惡化，陰霾天氣現象出現增多，危害加重。近期我國不少地區把陰霾天氣現象并入霧一起作為災害性天氣預警預報。統稱為“霧霾天氣”。
