Many dates of the Christian calendar are dependent on Easter.The celebrations of Easter have many customs and legends that have nothing to do with Christianity. Of all the symbols associated with Easter, the egg, the symbol of richness and new life, is the most important. The customs and traditions of using eggs have been associated with Easter for centuries.Originally, Easter eggs were painted with bright colors to represent the sunlight of spring and were used in Easter-egg rolling contests or given as gifts. After they were colored and printed with various designs, the eggs were exchanged by lovers and romantic admirers. In the Middle Ages, eggs were traditionally given at Easter to the servants. In Germany, eggs were given to children along with other Easter gifts.

　　為此，李老師為了激力其他的同學，在班上宣布：只要誰趕上或超過了我，就翻倍獎勵小盾牌。可是，李老師卻在背地里三翻五次的告誡我說："你一定要更加努力，不要停步不前，這樣他們會很容易趕上你的。"

　　聽了李老師的話后，我也就更加發奮了。因此，到現在為止，我一直保持著第一的這個位子。

　　從這里，我終于懂得了"只要功夫深，鐵杵磨成針"的道理：只要你努力了，就沒有干不好的事情。
