The flood waters have risen so rapidly because of heavy continuous rain that everything is now submerged in water,the trees,houses,roads and fields.
When the three people have succeeded in climbing out on the porch roof,what they can see are only the chimneys and antennas on top of the roofs,the wire poles in front of the houses and the trees in back of the houses.With no boat available nearby,they have to wait patiently for the rescue team.At the sight of a rescue helicopter,they become overjoyed,waving to it as it approaches.The helicopter crew have spotted them and prepared a cable to lower to them,which will raise them to the plane by means of a lifting device.
The three people will soon be rescued.Yet,it is evident that nearly all of their belongings have been ruined by the flood.

The Yangzte River is the longest river in China. And it’s important and helpful to us Chinese. But these days the Yangtze River is bringing us serious floods.
Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made hundreds of millions of people lose their homes, relatives and friends. Many children can’t go to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the attention of the whole world. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions of soldiers are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Many of them have lost their lives in their attempt to save the villagers.
Though we can’t help them to fight against floods, we should help them to rebuild their homeland. We can present them our pocketmoney and clothes. I believe most of the people will return to their homeland in the near future.

The heavy rain has been pouring down all the time for there days. Not only fields but also villages have been fooded. Last night, houses were washed away by the flood and the villagers were in danger and struggling in the water, crying
for help. Just then the PLA men hurried over by steamboat, They did their best to save villagers and helped them to move onto the riverbank. The government for the villaders very much. Tents, food, clothes and medicine were sent to them without delay. Without the Party and the PLA men, a large number of people would have lost their lives ia the flood or died of hunger.
暴雨傾盆持續了三天，許多田地村莊被淹沒。昨晚，房子被洪水沖走，村民處于危險中，許多人在水中掙扎，呼喊著求救。正在那時，解放軍乘沖鋒舟趕來，他們盡力救助村民，將村民轉移到安全堤岸。政府非常關心村民，為他們馬上提供。了帳篷、食物、衣服和藥品。如果沒有黨，沒有人民的宰隊，許多人將會在洪水中失去生命或者餓死。
