　　everybody has his own family. what is family ? i don’t think everyone really knows. there are si letters in the word “ family ”. i think “ f ” means “father”, “a” means “and”, “ m ” means “mother” , “ i ” means“ i”, “ l” means “ love” and “ y ” means “you”. so “ family ” is the short form of “ father and mother , i love you.” don’t you think so ? father and mother love us , and we love father and mother . that’s a happy family.

　　現代人眼界開闊，把全球看作地球村，把全世界的人都看成是朋友，長大后還要與外國朋友交流。作為一個中國人，不僅要懂中文，還要懂外語。而我的英語水平不大好，所以，爸爸、媽媽商量，利用暑假讓我到卓越英語補習。

　　無論做什么事，興趣最重要，如果沒有興趣，就會事倍功半。學英語也一樣，有興趣才會學得好。媽媽帶我到了卓越英語，先讓我試讀一下，看看有沒有興趣。上課了，一位年輕的老師走進教室，先讓我們聽一首叫《丑小鴨》的英語歌，一邊播放音樂，一邊表演，挺有意思的。老師教的內容其實就是歌里唱的內容。我目不轉睛地盯著老師的一舉一動，兩節課學得很專心，也很有興趣。于是，媽媽幫我報了名，我便成了卓越英語的一員。

　　我被編入B31班，學習《英語語音過關》。教我們這一班的是曾老師，國字臉，鼻梁上架著一副近視眼鏡。他總讓我們在快樂中學習知識，我們都很喜歡他。同時，我還認識了兩類同學，一類是吵吵鬧鬧、愛開小差的搗蛋鬼，另一類是安安靜靜、用心學習的好學生。在卓越英語，每個同學都有自己的英文名字，我的英文名字叫Tony（托尼），可大家都叫我“掏泥”。

　　在卓越英語，我學得很努力，老師一教我就懂，字寫得也不錯，老師經常夸我。但我記性不大好，有時候舉起手來想發言，卻不知道說什么。我想，這是基礎不扎實的緣故，還得多下功夫。

　　于是，我不僅在學校里學，還在家里學。老師發給我們每人兩張《英語語音過關》碟片，讓我們在家里聽。下午和晚上家里的臺式電腦被姐姐“統治”著，所以，我每天早上很早起來聽碟片讀英語。每天放學回家，都要進行鞏固，攻守并進。我的家庭作業幾乎都是對的.。

　　時間過得飛快，暑假快要結束了，我又要回到環山小學了。在新的學期里，我會更加努力，更加認真的，少點讓爸爸、媽媽替我操心。同時，我真希望學校里的每位老師都像卓越英語的曾老師那樣，讓我們在快樂中學到知識。

　　my bookshelf is on the left of the bed. there are a lot of storybooks and picture books in the shelf. i like them very much.

　　not everyone has a bedroom. i’m very lucky, because i have a very beautiful bedroom. i’ll try my best to keep it clean and tidy.
