　　As is shown in the two pictures, the same flower has different fate when put in different situations. When there is protection, the flower blooms beautifully. However, when exposed directly to rain and storm, the flower quickly withers. We can safely come to the conclusion that greenhouse flowers cannot withstand rain and storm.

　　The same is true with our children. As the one-child policy is adopted in China, more and more parents overprotect their children. With everything done for them and every need satisfied by their parents or grandparents, these only children seem to be healthy, happy and high-spirited. But when they leave home, they become disappointed and frustrated. Facing harsh things they have never experienced before, such as competition from peers, criticism from supervisors, pressure for deadlines and restriction for discipline, they will be at a loss, miserable or even desperate. In fact, the more protection they get from their parents, the less ability they acquire. Parents love for their children turns out to be a disaster.

　　Children, like flowers, should be treated with care, but reasonable and sensible ways of doing things will help to bring about more fruitful results, if we not only love our children but also teach them how to love, our love will be passed down from generation to generation; if we not only solve problems for our children but also encourage them to solve problems, our diligence and ingenuity will make our life more meaningful and worthwhile.

　　開學(xué)已經(jīng)三個(gè)星期了，今天英語老師給我們進(jìn)行第一次測(cè)試。

　　上課鈴聲響了，只看見英語老師拿著厚厚的一疊試卷走進(jìn)教室。同學(xué)們有些慌亂起來，我的心也開始“怦怦怦”地跳著。隨著試卷一張張發(fā)下來，我的心也越來越慌了。這可是我們的第一次英語考試呀！不知出的`題是什么樣子？

　　試卷很快發(fā)到了我的手里。我一看，呀！試卷有兩個(gè)部分，第一部分是聽力部分，第二部分是筆試部分。老師把一個(gè)個(gè)單詞報(bào)了出來，讓我們?nèi)ス串�，可是，我怎么找來找去也找不到老師讀的單詞呢？我開始慌亂起來。漸漸地，我跟不上老師了，老師報(bào)單詞的聲音就像蒼蠅在耳邊飛一樣，我急得差點(diǎn)就要哭了出來。

　　聽力部分很快就結(jié)束了。雖然我全部做了，但是一點(diǎn)都沒有信心。接下來是筆試部分，這是我拿手的部分。我一道道題認(rèn)真地做下去，感覺還不錯(cuò)，只是由于聽力部分出乎意料，因此盡管是在考試，我的心里卻一直在咕嘟著。

　　下課鈴聲響了，我把試卷交了上去�？墒牵业男睦锖茈y過。唉！英語實(shí)在太難了，特別是聽力部分，看來，回家還要多聽錄音，爭(zhēng)取下次考試考出好成績(jī)。

　　Recently I learned From the newspaper that normal universities belonging to the Education Department would recruit some students free. As a return, the students must serve as a primary school teacher for at least 10years in his hometown. I feel that is a good news for me and I will contact the universities to get enrolld.

　　First of all, ads a farmers child, my familys living condition is not so good, I can hardly afford the high tuition of regular universities. I am so happy to get this chance to become a college student and coninue my study.

　　Secondly, serving as a teacher is my dream since I was a child. I was brought up in a mountain village. Many of my little friends got poor education and they had to get to work as a teenager. If I become a teacher, I will devote myself to give them better education.

　　Lastly, our country is in great need of teachers, especially in rural areas. After I graduate, I will return to my hometown and serve as a good teacher.

　　I prefer to study in the big city. BecauseI can learn a lot in the big city. Big cities have rich teaching resources.Here I can meet people all over the country. And I can learn about different cultures.I’ll have more opportunities in the big city.

　　But I don’t like living in a big city. Itis true that big cities are economically developed which offers various jobopportunities and the traffic is very convenient. There are a lot of places forpublic entertainment such as parks, restaurants, museums, etc However, thereare still disadvantages. The cost of living here is high and it’s overpopulated.Besides, the air pollution and bad living environment should be considered .

　　As for small cities, although the economy isnot very developed, the air is fresh, the environment is quiet and peaceful, andit is more comfortable to live in. So I prefer live in small cities whilestudying in big cities. So, that’s why I chose to attend college in a big city.But after graduation, I might go back to my hometown to find a job and livethere.
