　　Lion is a kind of cruel animal so it is the king in the forest.

It has become a symbol of power so there are often two lion statues in front of some business buildings. And it is also thought of a kind of lucky animals . Since a long time ago it has been played especially when festivals come. For example when the spring festival comes people often play lions to celebrate our festival.

　　Today, my parents and I went to the zoo to see the lions.

Four big thick legs are particularly powerful, running very fast, the lion's tail is very long, and a small hair ball on the end looks very cute. The lion is a carnivorous animal and is very fierce. Many animals are afraid of it.

　　I also learned a lot about the life of lions on TV. When the baby lion was born, it looked like a lovely cat, and after about two years living with the lion's mother, he left his home to find his new pride. The lion will be able to beat the other lions to claim the throne. The life span of a lion is about 10 to 17 years old. Male lions only live 10 years and females live 17 years.

　　我還從電視上了解到了很多關于獅子的生活習性。小獅子剛生下來的時候，它像一只可愛的貓咪，和獅子媽媽生活大約兩年以后就離開自己的家園去尋找自己新的獅群。雄獅要靠自己的實力去打敗其他的雄獅奪得王位。獅子的壽命大約是10-17歲左右，雄獅只能活10歲，雌獅卻能活17歲。

　　When a lion was asleep a little mouse began running up and down beside him. This soon wakened the lion. He was very angry and caught the mouse in his paws.

　　"Forgive me please." cried the little mouse. "I may be able to help you someday." The lion was tickled at these words.

　　He thought "How could this little mouse help me?" However he lifted up his paws and let him go.

　　A few days later the lion was caught in a trap.

　　The hunters wanted to take him alive to the king so they tied him to a tree and went away to look for a wagon.

　　Just then the little mouse passed by and saw the sad lion.

　　He went up to him and soon gnawed away the ropes. "Was I not right?" asked the little mouse.

　　獅子睡著了，一只小老鼠在他身邊上下奔跑。很快吵醒了獅子。他非常生氣，抓住老鼠的爪子。

　　Long ago，a lion and a bear saw a kid. They sprang upon it at the same time. The lion said to the bear，"I caught this kid first， and so this is mine."

　　"No，no."said the bear，"I found it earlier than you，so this is mine."And they fought long and fiercely. At last both of them got very tired and could no longer fight.

　　A fox who had hid himself behind a tree not far away and was watching the fight between the lion and the bear，came out and walked in between them，then it ran off with the kid. The lion and the bear both saw the fox， but they could not even catch the fox. The lion said to the bear， "We have fought for nothing. That sly fox has got the kid away."

　　從前，一只獅子和一只熊看見一個孩子，它們同時向他撲去. 獅子對熊說，“我首先捉住的這個孩子，因此這個孩子是我的.”
